Paul's farewell to Ephesian elders (Acts 20:28-31) -- fierce wolves and elders' responsibility
Mike cites Paul's passionate charge to elders to guard the flock.
In Acts 20:28-31, Paul warns the Ephesian elders: 'Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock... fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock, and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things to draw away the disciples.' Paul charges elders to be alert, having spent three years admonishing them. This role necessarily includes evaluating what people claim to speak from God.
