Definition of egalitarianism as one of three positions in the debate

Everything Women Can and Can't Do According to the Bible: Women in Ministry part 13 00:06:34 – 00:07:34

Mike defines the three sides of the debate, starting with egalitarianism.

Egalitarians believe there are no role differences between men and women. A woman could be an elder, and in marriage the husband has no leadership over his wife. Any job or ministry a man can do, a woman can do. Most egalitarians apply this to both ministry and marriage. They extend human equality to mean equal status regarding any role or function related to authority.
