Genesis 1:26-27 establishes that both male and female are made in God's image (the generic 'man' includes both). Both are given DOMINION over the earth — 'let THEM have dominion.' This comes BEFORE Genesis 2-3 shows authority differences. Being in the image of God is the single most exalting thing about human nature. Quotes CBMW: 'Both Adam and Eve were created in God's image, equal before God as persons and distinct in their manhood and womanhood.'
