Working at home (Titus 2:5) means taking care of home responsibilities, not being confined to the house

Everything Women Can and Can't Do According to the Bible: Women in Ministry part 13 02:02:04 – 02:03:35

Mike addresses the 'women should work at home' argument.

Titus 2:5 tells women to be 'working at home.' Pre-Industrial Revolution, most people worked from home in family businesses. 'Working at home' means taking care of home responsibilities, not 'must stay home and not have a job outside the house.' Balance: feminist says go get yours regardless; strongest patriarchalists say can't have any job outside the home. The biblical principle: don't neglect home responsibilities, but external work is not forbidden.
