Many say you can't separate Sunday preaching from the elder/pastor role. Baptist tradition: the office IS the function — if you do Sunday teaching, that's pastoring. In that case, easy answer: no women on Sundays. Mike affirms nothing wrong with preserving this as a rule. Some denominations approach it differently. This makes the role of pastor powerful and preserves important distinctions. Not oppressive — there are six other days and many other opportunities.
