LDS Church president's diary corroborates that Smith translated Abraham's own handwriting using the Urim and Thummim

I Think I Have Proof That Mormonism Is Not True 00:08:34 – 00:09:37

Secondary LDS historical witness to Smith's translation claims

Mike reads from the diary of a man who was the fourth president of the LDS Church and held a governmental position in the church. In an 1842 entry, this LDS president wrote that 'the Lord is blessing Joseph with the gift of God to translate through the Urim and Thummim' (the seer stones Smith wore). He specifically says Smith was translating a document 'written by his own hand upon papyrus' — the papyrus of Abraham — covering 'the last 4,000 years.' This connects to the canonized scripture now called the Book of Abraham in the Pearl of Great Price.
