Smith's interpretation of the facsimile images: he identifies figures as the angel of the Lord, Abraham, and names Egyptian gods
Smith's specific claims about the facsimile imagery
In the printed Book of Abraham facsimiles, Smith interprets specific images: he identifies an eagle-like figure as the angel of the Lord, a figure on a table as Abraham (about to be sacrificed), a man with a knife as a priest trying to kill Abraham, and figures at the bottom as representations of gods. He assigns them specific names (including what Mike calls 'Latina Mamakara Kourosh' type names). These interpretations are printed in the canonized LDS scripture alongside the images.
