Colossians 2:16-20: the JW misapplication of 'let no one judge you' to justify their blood refusal, when the passage actually condemns submission to regulations about food and drink as worldly.

Blood Transfusions: Facts, Fictions and Fractions - Refuting The Watchtower 00:37:54 – 00:39:25

Mike refutes a common JW counter-use of Colossians 2 to defend their blood doctrine.

Colossians 2:16: 'Let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.' JWs cite this to say doctors and critics cannot judge them for refusing blood. Mike argues this is a misreading: reading on into Colossians 2:20-22, Paul says 'If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why do you submit to regulations — Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch — referring to things that all perish as they are used?' Paul is condemning submission to food regulations as contrary to Christian freedom in Christ, not endorsing them.
