Full reading of the fall narrative: serpent questions God's command to Eve, Eve adds 'neither shall you touch it,' she eats and gives to Adam 'who was with her,' God calls to the man first ('where are you?'), Adam blames Eve and God, Eve blames the serpent. Curses: serpent cursed, proto-evangelium in 3:15 (her offspring will bruise serpent's head), Eve's curse (pain in childbearing, desire contrary to husband, he shall rule over her), Adam's curse (ground cursed, thorns/thistles, death).
