People forget wrong guesses and remember right ones — the psychological principle behind why cold-reading / divine guessing appears more accurate than it is.

Fake Healing Videos Evaluated: Todd White, Tom Fischer and more 00:39:33 – 00:40:36

Explanation of the cognitive bias that makes Todd White's guessing seem supernatural.

Mike illustrates with a personal childhood anecdote: he would call out dice roll numbers before rolling and his friends only remembered the hits, not the misses. He applies this to healing ministers who ask multiple general questions: people forget all the wrong guesses and only remember when one is correct. Mike says he has taught on prophecy in his verse-by-verse Sunday studies (available online). He argues: if you speak in the name of the Lord and are not right, something is wrong — a 50% or 30% accuracy rate is not acceptable for prophetic claims.
