Belleville's counter: all three uses of 'teshukah' are linked by gender/intimacy -- she interprets Gen 4:7 as a lion wanting to 'consume' (intimate metaphor) Cain. Mike finds this forced.

Belleville's attempt to maintain the intimacy reading across all three uses

Belleville argues gender/intimacy links all three OT uses of 'teshukah.' For Gen 4:7, she interprets sin as a crouching lion wanting to 'eat/consume' Cain, and consuming is a form of intimacy. Mike finds this bizarre: eating is not intimacy, consuming is not intimacy, and the context is about sin controlling Cain's actions (he then murders his brother -- sin controlled him, it didn't 'consume' him intimately).
