Many churches call people 'pastor' when they're doing work that better fits the deacon role. A woman called 'pastor' might not be functioning as a biblical elder. Mike wants to differentiate: can a woman be a biblical elder? The title matters less than the function. Ideally 'pastor' should be reserved for the elder category.
