Hebrews 10:28-29 — Rejecting the gospel of Christ deserves a worse punishment than violating the Mosaic law, establishing a clear hierarchy between sins.

Are Some Sins Worse Than Others? Please don't get this wrong! 00:14:31 – 00:15:34

Mike examines a key New Testament passage that explicitly compares the severity of two different categories of sin.

Hebrews 10:28 notes that those who rejected the law of Moses died by the testimony of two or three witnesses. Verse 29 then asks how much worse punishment the person deserves who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant, and outraged the Spirit of grace. The explicit comparison — 'how much worse' — establishes that rejecting Christ is a greater sin than violating the Mosaic law, which itself carried a death penalty. This is one of the clearest biblical statements of a hierarchy of sin.
