Side 3b: Modern Halloween also includes genuine occult and pagan rituals — Wiccan, Satanist, and Day of the Dead practices

A Pastor Shares His Thoughts on Halloween 00:14:18 – 00:16:20

Continuation of Side 3 — the darker end of the Halloween spectrum

For Wiccans and pagans, Halloween is a high holy day. They believe the veil between worlds is thinner, and they conduct seances and spiritual rituals. Some Satanists reportedly perform evil rituals on this day. The Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos), practiced in Mexico and parts of Latin America, is a mixture of Catholicism and Aztec belief in which families build home altars, bake food for deceased relatives, attempt to contact the dead, and schools hold altars as a national holiday. This is functionally necromancy. The Catholic All Souls Day involves praying for souls in purgatory — an unbiblical practice. These practices are genuinely evil and should stop regardless of cultural entrenchment.
