Egalitarian contradiction: if 1 Timothy 3:11 has women deacons, it proves women are excluded from elders in 3:1-7

Women Leaders in the New Testament: Women in Ministry part 4 02:02:00 – 02:02:30

Mike identifies an internal contradiction in egalitarian argumentation.

Many egalitarians claim the elder qualifications in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 are gender-neutral, while also wanting to see women deacons in 3:11. But if Paul had to specifically mention women separately in the deacon section (because the masculine language excluded them), this proves the same masculine language in the elder section also excludes women. The need to add women in the deacon passage demonstrates the absence of women in the elder passage is intentional.
