Mike goes to Hebrews 7 as a non-Pauline passage to demonstrate that the OT itself contains the seeds of its own supersession.
Hebrews 7:11 argues that if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood, there would have been no need for another priest to rise after the order of Melchizedek (as prophesied in Psalm 110). Since Psalm 110 was written long after the Levitical priesthood was established, its very existence proves the Levitical system was anticipatory, not final. Verse 12 states explicitly: "when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well." Mike emphasizes this is not altering the OT text — it is the fulfillment of what the OT itself predicted. He references having a full video on Melchizedek.
