Repentance functions in both justification and sanctification
Viewer asking whether repentance is part of justification or sanctification
Mike says repentance belongs to both. In justification: turning from sin to receive Christ. In sanctification: Jesus calls the Ephesian church (already Christians) to repent and do the first works (Revelation 2). Paul in 2 Corinthians says godly sorrow produces repentance. Both contexts involve repentance.
