Women as named eyewitness sources at the death, burial, and empty tomb of Jesus

The Gospels consistently name specific women (multiple Marys, etc.) at three key events: the death of Jesus, the burial of Jesus, and the empty tomb. Mike argues these are events where the male disciples were absent or fleeing — the Gospel writers name the women because they were the actual eyewitness sources for these portions of the narrative.
