Prosperity preachers always land their messages in business/financial wealth, physical health, and authority/position — which Mike identifies as the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and pride of life (1 John 2:16 framework). They take OT passages with promises to Israel and apply them without contextual concern, while ignoring Jesus's specific teachings on trials, taking up the cross, and giving up worldly things.
