The gospel is not about making God right with man but about making man right with God. If a pastor tells people they can come to Jesus but stay in their sins ("easy believism"), they are not presenting the true gospel. The question is whether someone who continues in lifestyle sin is truly under the blood of Christ. 1 Corinthians 6:9's pattern suggests they are not.
