Summary of chapter 2: Boghossian redefines faith, atheism, and agnosticism to rig the intellectual playing field
Mike synthesizes his analysis of chapter 2
After redefining all three key terms, Boghossian says on page 28: "Now that the terms faith, atheist, and agnostic have been clarified, we can have a meaningful discussion about belief without evidence being an unreliable way to navigate reality." Mike translates this as: "Now that I've defined words to make you look dumb and me look right, I can go on to show how right I am." Mike notes Boghossian writes well and uses sophisticated language, but the reasoning is fundamentally bad — intelligently unreasonable.
