Mary Magdalene is never called an apostle in Scripture
Mike notes a key absence in the biblical text.
Throughout all of Scripture, despite many opportunities, Mary Magdalene is never called an apostle — not even when she is told 'go and tell them that Christ has risen.' Being told to deliver a message does not make someone an apostle in the official sense. Mike considers this a weak but commonly persuasive egalitarian argument that functions as a 'meme' rather than rigorous argumentation.
