Craig Keener's argument: Deborah as an Old Testament apostle equivalent

Were Women Apostles in the New Testament? Women in Ministry part 5 00:50:31 – 00:52:01

Mike addresses Keener's claim linking Deborah to apostleship.

Keener argues that if Moses and the prophetic leaders are the closest OT equivalent to NT apostles, Deborah merits a place among them. Mike objects: (1) Moses and Deborah had very different roles; no judge had Moses' role; (2) identifying OT equivalents to NT apostles is a futile effort — there are no true OT equivalents to NT apostles; (3) typology is not equivalence — types of Christ are not Christ himself.
