Mike's personal conversion testimony: depression before faith, joy and relationship with God after — and subsequent evidential verification

Why We Can't Agree on What Faith Is and What We Can Learn From It. 00:46:31 – 00:48:31

Q&A: Benjamin Acompo (skeptic) asks what evidence a 12-year-old Mike had at conversion beyond feelings

Mike shares his testimony: before knowing God he was depressed; after coming to Christ at 12 he experienced joy, peace, and a sense of ongoing relationship with God that was not limited to church settings. He acknowledges that if atheism is true this would be a psychological experience; but if Christianity is true it was genuine encounter with God. He then describes how, when he later tested his faith against evidence, the evidence corroborated his experiential beginning — the two sources of evidence (personal experience + historical/external evidence) converged.
