Why natural theology arguments point to the God of Christianity, not Hinduism

A Bunch Of Reasons Christianity Is True: special guest Jonathan McLatchie 01:33:59 – 01:35:01

McLatchie explains why the cosmological and design arguments favor the Abrahamic God over polytheistic conceptions.

Hinduism is polytheistic. A transcendent creator who brings the universe into being ex nihilo — outside of time, space, and matter — is the Abrahamic concept of God, not the Hindu one. Furthermore, it is philosophically impossible to have more than one infinite being: two infinite beings would each have to lack some property the other possesses, making neither truly infinite. Natural theology therefore points to a single, transcendent, eternal, immaterial creator — ruling out polytheism. The remaining candidates from natural theology are Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The question then becomes which of these three is consistent with Scripture, and the answer is Christianity.
