The law is not abolished but fulfilled in Christ; the Spirit replaces the external law as the mode of obedience
Positive theological statement of Winger's view
Freedom from the Law of Moses is not lawlessness or rejection of the law's goodness. The law is glorious and beautiful. It has been fulfilled in Christ. Christians live under the Spirit's leading rather than the external Mosaic covenant. Galatians 5 fruit of the Spirit: "against such things there is no law" — because you are not under the law, you are walking in the Spirit.
