Three aspects of the atonement framework: intent, extent, and application

Limited Atonement, Universalism and why I disagree with both. 00:02:04 – 00:03:06

Winger introduces a three-part analytical framework for the atonement, crediting Dr. David Allen for helping him prepare.

Intent = what God desired (Winger holds God desired all to be saved). Extent = who was actually paid for — was the provision universal or limited to the elect? Application = who actually gets saved, who benefits from the atonement. This framework is used throughout the video to distinguish between universalism, universal atonement, and limited atonement.
