2 Corinthians 5:14-15 — the Calvinist logical argument for limited atonement from this text

Limited Atonement, Universalism and why I disagree with both. 00:06:14 – 00:07:45

Winger presents the viewer's question and the Calvinist logical argument drawn from 2 Corinthians 5:14-15.

The text: 'one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him.' The Calvinist syllogism: (1) All that Jesus died for also died. (2) Not everyone has died with Christ (not everyone is saved). (3) Therefore the first 'all' cannot mean all humanity — it must mean the elect. Conclusion: Jesus died only for the elect.
