Luke 9:54-56: Jesus rebukes disciples who want to call down fire to destroy enemies

When James and John wanted to call fire from heaven to consume those rejecting Jesus, Jesus rebuked them saying "You do not know what kind of spirit you are of, for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them." Mike applies this rebuke directly to Anderson — the desire to see sinners destroyed is not the Spirit of Christ.
