Objection 4 stated: John Owen's trilemma

Responding to Calvinist Arguments for Limited Atonement 00:07:15 – 00:09:19

Classic Calvinist logical argument from John Owen's Death of Death in the Death of Christ.

Owen: Christ died for either (1) all the sins of all men, (2) all the sins of some men, or (3) some sins of all men. Option 3 is ruled out (some sins remaining = no one saved). Option 1 implies universalism because unbelief is a sin — if it is paid for, why are people still punished for it? Option 2 (Calvinist) is the only coherent choice. The trilemma is meant to logically compel limited atonement.
