If the Holy Spirit is the one telling us only men can be elders, then Grenz's argument collapses — ignoring that limitation would be removing the sovereign call of the Spirit, not honoring it. Forcing women into eldership positions the Spirit has not ordained would itself violate the Spirit's sovereignty.
