Sola Scriptura: tradition must be tested by Scripture, not used to trump it

If a practice cannot be proven from Scripture, it cannot be imposed on Christians. If someone wants to appeal to tradition, the full tradition must be examined — not just selected quotes. Mark 7:8 — Jesus warned against leaving God's commandments to hold to the tradition of men.
