Some spiritually mature Christians are so convinced by the work of the Spirit in their lives that they do not need external evidence — they view it as nice but unnecessary. Winger argues this is healthy, not a problem. Apologetics communities are often populated by people who went through seasons of doubt and found the evidence route.
