The syllogism from Discovering Biblical Equality chapter 20: (1) If permanent, comprehensive, ontologically grounded subordination of women is justified, then women are inferior persons. (2) Women are not inferior persons. (3) Therefore women's subordination is not justified. Groothuis spends most of her argument proving premise 1 — that role differences make women less human.
