When at a liberal university with false Bible teaching, prepare to refute — don't fight every battle prematurely
Question from Nathaniel at a liberal Christian university where Scripture and the gospel are consistently undermined.
Mike advises against trying to fight the teacher every class — you may not yet have the knowledge to push back effectively, and ineffective pushback can be worse than silence, giving the teacher opportunities to reinforce false teaching. Better approach: use the class as preparation and practice. Listen to understand why they believe what they believe, identify the challenges and refutations, and build competence for future ministry. Push back when you genuinely have the knowledge and timing to do so effectively.
