Assessing modern prophecy claims: consistency in future fulfillment is the test

20 Questions with Pastor Mike (Episode 3) 00:34:44 – 00:37:16

Response to Jody Wainwright asking about pastor Dana Coverstone and his prophetic dreams.

Mike has not personally researched Coverstone. He shares his methodology for evaluating modern prophets: he watched several prophets on Sid Roth's show who predicted chaos in the first three months of 2020. When that seemed to be fulfilled, he began following them privately. But they also predicted a quick end to COVID by Easter/Passover — which did not happen. His rule: if it is the Lord, the prophet should be consistent in future proclamations. One failed prophecy signals the person is not a true prophet. Mike applies this same standard to Coverstone: watch his future prophecies, and if they consistently fail, do not listen to him.
