Addressing a church drifting from Scripture — approach thoughtfully, privately first, then through proper channels
Question from Nala about a church where the Bible is not preached and the lead pastor bulldozes people.
Strategy: avoid knee-jerk irritated confrontation. Instead, identify the right people to approach (pastor, board, influential leaders). Request time at a board meeting; prepare thoroughly; present concerns clearly among multiple witnesses who are leaders, not gossips. Leave the outcome in the Lord's hands. If the pastor is a bulldozer, all this may still fail — at that point the person has done their part and may need to make decisions about their continued involvement in the church.
