Feel-good phrases like "you are enough" and "Jesus came to bring a piece of heaven to earth" — ambiguous theology
Question from Ben Johnston about a pastor using feel-good slogans
Mike agrees these phrases are theologically problematic. "You are enough" can mean different things — Christ's strength in me (acceptable) or self-sufficiency without improvement (unbiblical). When slogans become the theology of a church, they create avenues for distorted teaching. "Jesus came to bring a piece of heaven to earth" is likely Bethel/Bill Johnson influenced theology.
