Revelation 3:14-22 — Laodicea: the lukewarm church letter read and introduced
Question from Louise about Revelation 3:16 and whether lukewarm Christians go to heaven.
Mike reads Revelation 3:14-22 (the letter to Laodicea). The church claims to be rich and self-sufficient but Jesus says they are wretched, poor, blind, and naked. Historical note: Laodicea was reportedly near hot springs whose water arrived lukewarm by the time it reached the city (Mike notes he has not independently confirmed this). The passage connects directly to the preceding discussion on repentance-free self-improvement Christianity.
