Not everyone who teaches is an elder — an elder must be able to teach, but ability to teach does not require eldership

Many wonderful teaching pastors serve without being the senior pastor. Christians should not feel muzzled in their gifts when they serve outside the top position. Ministry is not about position or rank. Colossians 3:16 tells Christians to teach and admonish one another in general.
