Pro-life and pro-death penalty are not contradictory positions

20 Questions with Pastor Mike (Episode 12) 00:00:00 – 00:03:33

Mike addresses pushback from his death penalty video, responding to the charge that being pro-life and pro-death penalty is inconsistent.

Mike argues the two positions are entirely compatible: the death penalty is a biblical consequence specifically for murder (a guilty party with due process), while abortion kills an innocent baby who has committed no crime. He calls the inverse position — abortion okay, death penalty wrong — moral insanity: it allows killing innocents for any reason but prohibits killing proven murderers.
