Christians are not free to disobey government laws simply because they seem pointless — but there is a threshold of oppression where resistance becomes legitimate

Thinking a rule is dumb or inconvenient is not a legitimate biblical basis for civil disobedience. However, there can come a level of oppression where drawing the line is appropriate — some are already drawing it at being forbidden to pray for sick neighbors or gather as a church.
