In the context of political polarization and cultural upheaval, Mike's biggest concern is Christians who speak out against government and media wickedness while harboring bitterness, wrath, and slander in their own hearts. The plank-eye principle applies: if you cannot see your own carnality, you will not be able to address the issues you see in others. Dealing with personal sin first is prerequisite to being a clear-eyed voice in culture.
