Advice for online youth pastor: engage real youth in person; use apologetics and comparative theology to reach skeptical students

Two main pieces of advice: (1) Be physically involved with real youth -- online youth ministry risks operating on stereotypes rather than actual knowledge of students. Time spent hanging out informs relevant teaching. (2) Build the case for Christianity -- today's youth are skeptical, not simply unbelieving. Use apologetics (Mike mentions William Lane Craig's YouTube videos), engage atheist objections, compare Christianity with competing worldviews and bad theology. When Scripture is in conflict with culture, don't just assert the Bible is right -- show why with evidence and reasoning. Effective technique: present bad theology or non-believing arguments first, then refute them. Note on generational difference: younger generations are more favorable to socialism; don't assume shared cultural framework.
