Verifiability: Simmons's claims are provably false by checking the Greek text; the apostolic claims are historically robust.
Third distinction: the content of the claims can be tested.
Simmons translates doulos (Greek: servant/slave) in Romans 1 as "a servant who serves out of love not obligation" — a demonstrably false rendering any first-year Greek student can check. He also fabricates "Aramaic originals" source texts that do not exist. In contrast, the resurrection has extensive historical support documented by Gary Habermas, William Lane Craig, and others.
