God's glory is displayed in just judgment of sin, like a good judge rightly sentencing the guilty

20 Questions with Pastor Mike (Episode 25) 00:33:42 – 00:35:44

Responding to the question of how God's glory comes from judging unbelievers

The judgment of unbelievers is not unlike a good judge sentencing a guilty criminal. There is a kind of glory in justice being served. The only way this is problematic is if one assumes the people being judged are actually good and being held to unjust standards. Mike argues that problem stems from using human typical behavior as the moral standard rather than God's holiness — in effect, criminals writing their own laws.
