Unity of the faith in Ephesians 4 involves shared core doctrine, knowledge of Christ, and Christlike character.

20 Questions with Pastor Mike (Episode 31) 00:05:09 – 00:07:12

Continuation of Question 1; applying the meaning of the faith to Ephesians 4 unity.

Mike unpacks unity of the faith as: (1) agreement on core Christian doctrines, (2) growing relational knowledge of the Son of God, and (3) mature manhood — the character of Christ expressed in humility, gentleness, patience, and love. Unity does not require agreement on every point, only the essentials. The path to unity is through Bible teaching that brings apostolic doctrines into the minds of believers.

κεφαλή (kephale) — Logos Clippings (Cheryl Schatz)

A curated collection of Logos Bible Software clippings compiled by Cheryl Schatz examining the Greek word κεφαλή (kephale) and Hebrew רֹאשׁ (rosh). The clippings draw from lexicons, encyclopedias, commentaries, and academic journals to argue that "source/origin" is the primary metaphorical meaning of kephale rather than "authority/leader," with implications for interpreting 1 Corinthians 11, Ephesians 5, and Colossians 1.
