The argument claims Christians are practically atheists since they reject all gods except one. Winger shows this is like saying "You're a bachelor too — I'm just married to one less person than you." The one defining trait that separates a monotheist from an atheist IS belief in God. Analogies: "You're cancer-free — you just have one more cancer than me." Belief in God radically changes one's entire worldview; atheists who call it a "small thing" contradict themselves when they also describe shedding belief in God as liberating.
