Final conclusions: what Galatians 3:28 does and does not mean

Galatians 3:28 DOES mean: (1) Women have sonship status in Christ, are fully Christian as men. (2) Women should never be treated as less Christian, less justified, not as close to God, or less than full heirs. Galatians 3:28 DOES NOT mean: (1) All role differences are ruled out — as long as differences don't impact being in Christ, they are not ruled out by this verse. (2) Male/female is identical to slave/free or Jew/Gentile — the passage says they all have the same irrelevant relationship to being in Christ, not that the categories themselves are identical. (3) Anything about role distinctions in marriage or church leadership — the verse is simply not about that topic.
