Hermeneutic principle: look at passages that actually teach on the topic
Mike states the final hermeneutical takeaway.
If you want teaching on men's and women's roles in marriage or church leadership, you must look at passages that actually discuss those topics. Good hermeneutic rule: passages that clearly teach on an issue must be prioritized over passages only secondarily (or tertiarily) applied to that issue. Galatians 3:28 is far removed from the topic of church leadership.
